Let me tell you, you ain’t ready for this! Release Festival 2020 is going to host some of the biggest names in the metal scene and people are going insane. The last years, Release Festival is always surprising us with the hottest music shows and this is no exception.
Slipknot 24/7: After their latest album ”We are not your kind” which, If you ask me, is a ten-out-of ten masterpiece, The Iowa group is coming back to Greece after many years for a show that will make history. They’ve earned our respect not only because of the hits they make ,but also, for their outstanding live perfomances in which nobody can be compared. I can assure that, as the vocalist of the group, Corey Taylor, has said before: ”They don’t play shows. They start wars”.
Judas Priest 17/7: Following the band’s 50-year anniversary, the ”Metal Gods” are coming back in our country for the second time during the last three years and they’re going to raise hell. One of the first and most respectable bands ever existed, with tracks that are worldwide known, such as ”Painkiller”, ”Living After Midnight” and ”Hellbent For Leather”. You don’t wanna miss it!
Mercyful Fate 13/6: If you’re a true metalhead, you’re gonna love this one! With the legendary and notorious King Diamond in vocals, Mercyful Fate are one of the few bands that have such a big effect in the metal scene. Way darker and more vicious-looking than the previous two, they are here to provoke once again with their melodic, twisted sound and their bold appearances. Prepare yourselves for a night in hell!
Sabaton 22/7: This is a classic one. The Swedish group have reached to a point where they’ve earned our respect, with many headline shows, platinum albums and sold- out tours in all around the world. They’re one of the greatest live acts of our generation and they have one of the most dedicated metal fanbases. Sabaton are here to join the fight with Amon Amarth who are ,without doubt, the kings of epic metal and Testament on their side. As you all understood by the tone of this article, I’ll buy tickets for all of the upcoming shows and the only thing I’m worried about, is how I’m going to pay my bills afterwards.
